To reach Tandag  currently best is to take a domestic flight to Butuan since Tandag Airport has no commercial  service at present. Hopefully this will change in the near future. 

From Butuan Airport take a Jeepney to the local bus terminal (15 min) to catch a 'Bachelor" bus to Tandag. This journey can take 5 hours or more.There is a airconditined and a non airconditiond bus operating. Cost from airport to the bus terminal Php 12.-  and to Tandag Php 280.- on arrival in Tandag take a local 3 weeler  Php 7(Total cost to the campground from Butuan about US$ 6.-)  Tell the driver to take you to the campground at the Surigao Road past the airport turnoff.  If the driver does not know our place just tell him to take you to the San Augustin Norte Elementary school at Surigao Road. The campground is the next property after the school.

Be aware of touts at Butuan airport trying to sell you transport to the bus terminal at highly inflated cost.
